Pt. Abhay Shankar Mishra

President / Senior Kathak Teacher

Pt. Abhay Shankar Mishra is one of the leading exponents of Kathak Dance in the world today. Born in a family of musician in Benaras, he is the youngest son of Tabla Shiromani late Pt. Gama Maharaj. Abhay has trained under world-renowned Gurus across all the three major Gharanas of Kathak, including Padma Vibhushan Pandit Birju Maharaji, Smt Urmila Nagar, and the late Pt. Pandey Maharaj. He is an A grade artist with Doordorshan, Delhi, and is empanelled with the ICCR.
